President Biden's first Impeachment hearing is today at 10 am Eastern time.
The House holds these hearings two weeks after House Speaker- Kevin McCarthy started an investigation for the unproven allegations of corruption in the presidents family business.
At this time it is unknown if McCarthy has the evidence to back up the claims that Biden profited off of his son, Hunter Biden, and other family members.
If the house votes to impeach Biden, it would then be passed on to the senate, where 2/3 of the senate would have to vote to impeach him which is unlikely due to the fact that the senate is currently controlled by democrats.
McCarthy states they are holding this hearing to give, "the full facts and answers to the public. That's exactly what we want to know, the answers. And I believe the president would want to know the answers to these allegations as well."
