Earlier this morning, the Israeli Defense Forces raided Gaza's largest hospital that was filled with hundreds of patients.
Israel claims that Shifa Hospital, which is in the heart of the conflict, is a Hamas command post hidden behind civilians, accusing militants of using Palestinian citizens as human shields.
An IDF spokesperson stated that they were only focusing a specific area of the hospital and was done out of, "operational necessity", after receiving incite that Hamas was operating inside.
The operation lasted more than 12 hours and little is known about the current scene of the hospital. It is also unclear at this time what evidence the IDF was given to indicate the raid.
Both the hospital staff and Hamas have denied having any militants in the hospital prior to the raid.
