Earlier this morning, the white house announced The American Climate Corps. This is a job training program designed to create projects like land restoration, improving natural disaster resilience in communities, and creating more clean energy.
It is predicted that the program will employ 20,000 people in the first year alone. President Biden’s climate policy advisor Ali Zaidi state the benefits of this program goes
beyond addressing climate change.
Zaidi said, "We're opening up pathways to good-paying careers, lifetimes of being involved in the work of making our communities more fair, more sustainable, more resilient."
Most participants of the program will be paid and will not require previous experience.
