Top 5 Things to watch on prime!
Marvelous Mrs.Maisel
The Boys
Patriot
The Man in the High Castle
Fleabag
5.) Fleabag
Fleabag is one of if not the most recommended shows on amazon prime. This show depicts a young woman learning to cope with her past relationships and trauma while navigating life in modern-day London. Fleabag, Played by creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, helps create a story that shares the struggles (every day & Sexual) of young women finding their way in a vast, strange world. This show comes highly recommended on rotten tomatoes with 100% by cretics and 92% by audiences.
4.) The Man in the High Castle
The man in the high castle Created by Frank Spotnitz depicts a dystopian future where Germany and Japan were able to win world war two successfully. The show is based off the book The Man In The High Castle written by Philip K. Dick which was published in 1962. This show has four seasons, so there are plenty of episodes to binge. In this show, president Roosevelt is assassinated, and the united states it divided up into 4 Territories. This show shows the struggle and the resistance to this nightmarish future that thankfully is fiction. This show has grossed a cretics score of 84% and an audience score of 82% on rotten tomatoes.
3.) Patriot
The Patriot created by Steven Conrad is a Drama/dark comedy that shows the life of intelligence officer John Tavner. In the show, he is forced to go undercover in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at an industrial piping firm to prevent a nuclear war with Iran. This is a show that triggers many different emotions as you see the progression of the story. It has received high reviews with its two seasons, and many are expecting more seasons in the future. This show has a cretics rating of 91% and an audience score of 89%.
2.) The Boys
The boys is one trippy show, in my opinion. It will make you question everything you've ever known or felt about superheroes. From creators, Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson show a world where a group of everyday people set out to expose "the seven," which is a group of superheroes that have been seen abusing their powers and not using them for good. This show is based on the comic book "The Boys" and is only in its second season. It is a show that might disturb you in some ways, but it is one that ultimately shows the themes of how good always prevails. This show grossed a cretics score of 84% and an audience score of 94% on rotten tomatoes.
1.) The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel
Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, this show takes place in the hustle and bustle of the late '50s and early '60s in New York City. It shows the life of Miriam "Midge," Maisel, a well-educated young housewife who becomes frustrated with her role in life. Out of a few turn of events, Mrs.Maisel comes to find that she has a hidden talent in stand up comedy. You not only see the struggle of an independent opinionated woman during these times but also the struggles of stand up comics who were subjected to punishment for vulgarity in their sets. This show is one of my favorites for its humor and depiction of a life that has never been discussed. This show has three seasons and with hopefully more to come. It has received a cretics score of 89% and an audience score of 87%.
