More than 700 people have been killed and dozens have been taken as hostages in the Gaza strip.
Fighting continues today as gun battles and rocket fire are seen all throughout Israel. However, an Israeli military official said that they have regained control in the communities around the Gaza Strip.
Israel is fighting back with multiple airstrikes occurring and nearly 560 Palestinians being killed due to the retaliation.
